Beguiled by Noise

Confusion occurs when I am beguiled by the noise of the crowds, whether internal or external.  I hear their chants and contrive it into some kind of a command.  If I respond to self-imposed rigors then the whims of the flesh just keep changing the commands.  For this reason I keep letting go, allowing Christ to purify my stream of thought.  As the pool I draw from is purified, I find the commands are few and they are not in a continual state of flux.  The commands conjured up by false and separated thinking change all the time and yes, they cause me momentary confusion.  But I am anchored to Permanence and He returns me to simplicity time and again.  I seek Him (in me, as me) and all these other things are added unto me (like a gift), not upon me (like a burden).  In this season, simplicity is purity and purity is energy!

“I seek Him (in me, as me) and all these other things are added unto me (like a gift), not upon me (like a burden).
Again, true praise of Him and all that He is.
We first hear the passage . . . “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son. . . ” and we think this applies to the first step of acceptance of Him. But He is ‘our beginning’ and ‘the end of our flesh-mind with all its limitations and prison bars.’
Like you say, He is our way out!
He becomes every step of our way out.
Our simplicity, our purity and our energy!
I am reminded of the Odes of Solomon:

“The Lord is upon my head like a crown.”

Keep writing dear Susan! I get busy doing this and that, and suddenly a gentle ‘THOUGHT’ comes saying. . .”I wonder if Susan has submitted any thing NEW?”
I look and am pleasantly rewarded for my checking in.
I would like to see more writings in this world filled with the true praises of God like these writings of Christ in His Susan Mucklow form.
    Writings that say:
“For the spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound . . . ”

Yeah, when I hear “For God so loved the world that He gave…” I hear, “For God so loved the world…that He came to us, made the first move, became the ‘believer’ within our very hearts so that we could say ‘yes’ to all that He would do within us.”

    EXACTLY!!!
God spoke the Word into our hearts . . .
God spoke Himself within us . . .
